Highlights from Nursery

The children have had a great start to the new year and are settling well into Nursery.

This term’s topic is ‘Magical Me’.

The children have talked about expectations and school rules which help to keep everyone happy, safe, and ready to learn. We read ‘The Colour Monster’ by Anna Llenas and talked about emotions and how important it is to use words to explain how we are feeling.

We have been learning about our families and our surroundings. We read ‘The Family Book’ by Todd Parr and talked about how we are all different and special in our own way and that is Ok and should be celebrated and respected.

We have been exploring colour, matching, sorting different coloured objects and mixing colours to see what happens. We have been dancing to Squiggle Time and playing with playdough at the Dough Disco to strengthen our gross motor and fine motor muscles.
