The Great Big Magic Breakfast
BackWe always love to invite parents into school to share learning with their children, find out how we teach and also for a chance to socialise with each other.
This term we invited all KS1 parents to join their children and teachers for a KS1 Great Big Breakfast. Thank you to Miss Hoke and the KS1 team for organising this. Families were able to have breakfast together, share books, play games and even meet our Guinea Pigs!
All parents from Year 1 to Year 6 were invited to our classroom drop-ins. Thank you to all those of you who came. We really hope you find this a relaxed opportunity to see your child’s classroom and talk to them about their work. The teachers love welcoming you all and seeing you share your child’s learning.
Mrs Bernardi has been running Parent Cookery Workshops which have been very successful and we hope to organise more of these for the summer term. Miss Birchenough has set up a monthly Parent Book Swap and it’s been great to talk to parents about their preferences for reading and share books. Thank you to Mrs Akram and the EYFS Team for organising a lovely Reception Mother’s Day Tea Party – the weather was beautiful that day too!
Finally, thank you to Mrs Beauchamp and Year 5 for their informative Sharing Assembly. It was wonderful to see such a spread of subjects, skills and knowledge! We look forward to inviting parents and families in to school for further events later in the year.
