Highlights from Nursery

For Christmas, we have been learning songs like, Twinkle, Twinkle, Christmas Star, Jingle Bells, When Santa Went Up the Chimney, Let’s Go and We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and invited our families in to hear us sing. We sang songs a capella and used instruments for some of the songs.

We painted boxes and stacked them to make our very own Christmas Tree. We used our fine-motor and Maths skills to make paperchains and decorated baubles to decorate it. We created lovely Christmas cards and used mark-making to write our names inside the cards and we created Christmas decorations for our families as well.

We learned about People Who Help Us, like the police and firefighters who protect us and keep us safe and dentists who help us keep our teeth and gums healthy. We used different shapes and techniques to make police cars and fire engines, and talked about choosing food options to keep our bodies and teeth healthy.
