Dahl Class has been very excited to start the new academic year; it has been great to learn about a variety of new topics in Year 3. KS2 is the best!

In PSHE we have been discussing the pressures that we might face in everyday life including pressures online and how to deal with different scenarios. We have enjoyed giving advice to our friends in class.

In Maths we are learning about number sense and addition. We now understand how to round up to the nearest 10 and 100. We have been comparing and ordering numbers using some of our maths counters to understand the values of units, tens and hundreds.

We have really enjoyed exploring cubism through Art and learning about the famous pioneer Picasso. We are excited to use different materials in our next lessons to create our very own masterpieces.

Hughes Class have had a fabulous start to the new academic year; it is wonderful to see everyone back with smiles on their faces, ready to work hard!

In English, we have been learning about the marvellous Roald Dahl, exploring his life and his incredible achievements, then writing biographies about Dahl, being sure to include all the key features of a biography text.

In Maths this term we are learning about number sense and addition. We are learning how to round to the nearest 10 and 100 and we have been comparing and ordering numbers using equipment such as counters to understand the values of units, tens and hundreds.

And in Geography, Hughes class have started their topic of 'European Neighbours' and are enjoying learning about different countries in Europe, populations and currencies.
