We have been working hard over the last month with our scented gardens topic - especially as the weather hasn't been ideal for gardening.

In Science, we have been learning all about parts of plants and what they need to grow. We carried out an investigation where we changed some of these factors and predicted what might happen. We even made a cress head which we got to take home. Yummy!

We have been learning all about writing instructions in English and how we need to be a little bit bossy by using imperative verbs. We linked our instructions to our topic by writing about how to plant a sunflower seed.

In Maths, we've been challenging ourselves with division word problems and we now know how important it is to read the question carefully and find what number sentence we need to solve.

This month, we said goodbye to Mr Wiggins. We were all sad to see him go and wish him luck but we have also met some new members of year 2: our year group goldfish! They are settling into their new home nicely and we can't wait to name them. If you have any ideas, please let us know!
