25 October 2019

This month has seen lots of exciting learning and challenges. We have said goodbye to our much-loved pet, Mango the Millipede. The children held a pet funeral where they drew pictures of Mango and talked about their favourite memory. The children asked us if they could have another pet millipede so Miss Heneghan managed to get one; they were very excited. They welcomed the new millipede into nursery by choosing the name with a vote. The winning name was Mylo.

Also this month we had our first 'Stay and Play' session. Thank you to all the parents that came. The children enjoyed being able to show you what they have learned this term. They also challenged their parents to hold Mylo. Are you brave enough to hold him?

We have finished off the month by learning about the Hindi festival of Diwali. The children have been busy learning the story of Rama and Sita, making salt dough diva lamps, creating Rangoli patterns and learning how Mrs Mathur celebrates Diwali with her family.
